Trend

Long Term, Mid-Term, Short-Term Trend in price action. 

 

Financial Statement

Y/Y & Q/Q Revenue Growth, Operating Income, Net Income Growth, EPS Growth. Trend in numbers. 

Operating Profit Margin-(Operating Income/Revenue)

Debt to Asset ratio-(Total Debt/Total Assets)

Cash ratio -(Cash+Cash Equivalents)/Current Liabilities

Current Ratio-(Current Assets/Current Liablilty)

PE Ratio(PER)

 

Current Sentiment

News headlines, Traded volume, Market participants' view on stocks. 

How retail traders feel about stocks/market could potentially provide some insights in making trade decision. Think like an institution, not like retail traders. 

 

Volume

Trend in Volume. Volume at support/resistance. Where is VWAP(Volume-Weight Average Price) sitting at?

 

Support & Resistance

Support and Resistance level. Pivotal level(변곡점)

 

Risk/Reward Ratio

what is the risk(time and $ Loss) you are willing to take for your reward?  

Can you at least get 3:1 R/R ratio?

 

Position Sizing

what is your winning % on this type of trade?

Momentum trading, dip buying trading, news play, trend following, etc. 

 

How confident are you on this trade?

30%,50%,70%,100% account size.

The more confident you are, the bigger the position size on a trade. 

 

Stop Loss/Target Price

Pre-determine your exit price. 

If the trade is not working in your favor, exit the trade immediately. You can always rebuy. 

If the trade is working in your favor, aim to maximize your profit.
